SEC Form 4 · Officer & Director Purchases

Insiders buy their own stock for one reason.
We read every filing to find out which ones mean it.

ZycaAlgo watches every Form 4 filed with the SEC, keeps only the open-market buys that carry real conviction, and mirrors them into your own Alpaca paper account — sized, stopped, and logged automatically.

01 — The pipeline

Four filters between a filing and your portfolio.

Most Form 4s aren't signal. Compensation grants, tax-withholding sales, and pre-scheduled plan trades outnumber real conviction buys by roughly 250 to 1 — the pipeline exists to throw the rest away.

01 / Monitor

Every filing, all day

We pull SEC's daily Form 4 index continuously and open each one — no sampling, no delay past what EDGAR itself publishes.

02 / Filter

Code P, no exceptions

Open-market buys only, $100K minimum, filed by an officer or director, and never a pre-scheduled 10b5-1 plan trade.

03 / Qualify

Liquid enough to matter

S&P 500 or NASDAQ-listed, $1B+ market cap, 500K+ average volume. If we can't trade it in size, we don't pretend we can.

04 / Mirror

Sized, stopped, logged

2% of equity per name, max 15 open positions, a 15% stop that trails once you're up 15%, and a 90-day exit if nothing happens.

02 — Live output

What actually cleared the desk.

The six positions below are the real result of running the full pipeline against a single session's filings — not a backtest, not a curated example.

04 — Access

Watch it, or connect it.

Both modes run the same pipeline. The difference is whether it stops at a report, or reaches into your own paper account. ZycaAlgo is a research project — everything here is free, and nothing charges you anything.

Before you connect anything

Questions worth asking.

Is this real trading, or simulated?
Every position shown mirrors into an Alpaca paper account — simulated fills, real market prices, zero real capital. Nothing here places a live order unless you explicitly connect and configure a live endpoint yourself, which ZycaAlgo does not do on your behalf.
Is this investment advice?
No. ZycaAlgo applies a mechanical filter to public SEC filings and reports the result. It is not a registered investment adviser, does not know your financial situation, and nothing here is a recommendation to buy or sell any security.
What actually counts as a "genuine" buy?
Transaction code P (open-market purchase) only — not option exercises, not compensation grants. Filed by an officer or director, worth at least $100,000, and explicitly not flagged as part of a pre-scheduled 10b5-1 plan, since those decisions were made months earlier and carry far less signal.
Where does the data come from?
Directly from SEC EDGAR's public daily filing index and each filing's underlying XML — the same data anyone can pull for free. ZycaAlgo does the fetching, filtering, and bookkeeping so you don't read filings by hand at 7am.
